As a GCSE Examiner for Citizenship Studies, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and consistency of marking for this subject. Your expertise in Citizenship Studies will be essential in applying the mark scheme and adhering to the conditions of recognition and examination procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mark candidates' responses accurately and consistently to maintain overall standards
  • Submit samples to your Team Leader at designated times
  • Ensure milestones for marking are adhered to
  • Complete all administration tasks as specified

Requirements:

  • One academic year's worth of teaching experience within the last 8 years, relevant to the subject
  • A degree or equivalent qualification
  • Qualification as a teacher

Competencies:

  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • High level of subject knowledge to apply the mark scheme

About the Role:

This is a marking period role, taking place between May and July. Training will be provided between May and June to ensure you are equipped to mark as an examiner.
