Job Title: Mobile Maintenance Fitter (Silo)

Tarmac Trading Limited is seeking a skilled Mobile Maintenance Fitter (Silo) to join our team. As a Mobile Maintenance Fitter (Silo), you will be responsible for undertaking plant maintenance, repairs, and improvements to ensure maximum reliability of all plant-associated areas.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Respond to plant breakdowns, repair equipment, and maintain a safe and efficient maintenance plan.
  • Fault find and repair control panels on mobile silos, including inverters and parameters.
  • PAT test portable appliances and demonstrate fault diagnosis skills.
  • Ensure mobile silos are supplied to customers in a safe and fit-for-purpose working condition.
  • Improve plant performance while maintaining safety, maintenance, and asset reliability.
  • Contribute to the development of the Computer Maintenance Management System.
  • Maintain van stock levels and utilize documents to ensure safe and efficient maintenance.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Level 3 Apprentice trained or ONC/NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering is highly beneficial.
  • Knowledge of maintenance practices, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems is advantageous.
  • Experience in working with gearboxes, motors, and pumps, as well as LOTOTO (Isolation of Plant and Equipment), is required.
  • TPM methodology and Continuous Improvement experience is essential.
  • Working knowledge of relevant engineering maintenance principles and practices is necessary.
  • Predictive Maintenance experience is desirable.
  • Experience with a Computer Maintenance Management System is required.
  • Root Cause Analysis, Failure Mode & Effect Analysis tools/techniques experience is beneficial.
  • Understanding of database systems and National and International codes and symbols used on drawings and specifications is necessary.
