Job Opportunity: Junior PHP/Laravel Developer

Location: Darlington (Hybrid working)

Salary: Up to £30,000

NRG Resourcing Ltd is excited to partner with a leading Health and Fitness industry brand to find a skilled Software Developer who will play a key role in developing a critical business system.

This is an excellent opportunity for a talented individual to join a growing Software Development team and contribute to the success of the company.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Optimize MySQL databases, including schema design, indexing, and query optimization.
  • Implement data migration tasks to transfer and synchronize data between different systems and databases.
  • Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code following coding standards and best practices.
  • Perform unit testing and debugging to identify and resolve software defects in a timely manner.
  • Participate in code reviews to provide feedback on code quality, performance, and adherence to coding standards.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, troubleshooting issues related to PHP applications and MySQL databases.
Requirements:
  • Experience using Laravel framework (or another modern framework).
  • Professional experience in PHP/Laravel development and MySQL database management.
  • Strong understanding of MySQL database fundamentals, SQL query optimization, and database normalization.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
