Job Title: Junior PHP / Laravel Developer

Location: Remote (Hybrid working)

Salary: Circa £30,000

NRG is thrilled to announce that we have partnered with a highly regarded Health and Wellness industry leader as they seek a talented Software Developer who will play a crucial role in developing a vital business system.

This presents an exciting prospect, given our client's substantial growth in their Software Development team.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Optimize databases, including schema design, indexing, and query optimization.
  • Implement data migration tasks to transfer and synchronize data between different systems and databases.
  • Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code following coding standards and best practices.
  • Perform unit testing and debugging to identify and resolve software defects in a timely manner.
  • Participate in code reviews to provide feedback on code quality, performance, and adherence to coding standards.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, troubleshooting issues related to PHP applications and databases.

Requirements:

  • Experience using Laravel framework (or another modern framework)
  • Professional experience in PHP / Laravel development and database management.
  • Strong understanding of database fundamentals, SQL query optimization, and database normalization.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
