Warehouse Operative Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Operative to join our team at Inspired Pet Nutrition, a leading manufacturer of pet food. As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse, receiving and storing raw materials, and dispatching finished products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supply production departments with raw and packaging materials to maintain a continuous production program.
  • Locate finished goods from production areas and store them until dispatch.
  • Unload incoming vehicles and rack away materials after acceptance and GRN generation.
  • Pick and assemble loads ready for dispatch, and load outgoing vehicles with finished goods as detailed on loading dispatch paperwork.
  • Work safely at all times, ensuring the safety of yourself and colleagues, and follow health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the FLT fleet is fit for purpose by completing starter documentation and reporting damage to FLTs and plant damage.
  • Undertake training and assist with the training of other colleagues when required, and act as a buddy for new colleagues.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a similar role within manufacturing.
  • Counterbalance or reach truck license (full training provided).
  • A good standard of education, with good literacy and numerical skills, and the ability to understand, communicate, and report clearly in English.
