Advanced Clinical Practitioner ADHD Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our Adult ADHD Service team at Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with our Nurse Consultant and ADHD Nurse Specialists to provide high-quality care to individuals with suspected or confirmed ADHD.
Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for exercising advanced clinical expertise, levels of judgement, discretion, and decision-making in clinical care, demonstrated through the RCN Advanced Competency framework. This will involve assessing individual patient needs, initiating investigations, determining a differential diagnosis, and initiating appropriate holistic, research-based treatment with the development of a personalised clinical management plan, including independent prescribing.
Working closely with Medical and Nursing staff in both primary and secondary care, you will ensure patients receive appropriate investigation, intervention, and treatment with minimal avoidable delays, whilst improving the quality of care. Provision of high-quality clinical supervision to ADHD nurse specialists is a fundamental part of the role.
