We are seeking a dedicated SEND teaching support specialist to join our team at Coventry City Council. As a SEND teaching support specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support to teachers and children in our SEND provision.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working with children who have SEND and be committed to developing children as independent learners. You will also be an excellent communicator, able to develop positive relationships with staff, pupils, and parents, and work well as part of a team.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers and children in our SEND provision
  • Deliver Interventions and Social & Emotional Interventions
  • Develop oracy when leading the learning with a group or class of children
  • Promote high expectations of all children
  • Work with children who have SEND
  • Develop children as independent learners

Requirements:

  • Excellent Maths and English skills
  • Experience of delivering Interventions and Social & Emotional Interventions
  • Ability to develop oracy when leading the learning with a group or class of children
  • High expectations of all children
  • Experience of working with children who have SEND

Working Hours:

14 hours per week, 39 weeks term time only

Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum
