The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Radiation Therapy Planner. This position offers a unique opportunity for individuals who are passionate about radiation therapy and medical physics.

As a Radiation Therapy Planner, you will be responsible for leading the development of radiotherapy dose planning services at Freeman Hospital. You will work closely with other staff members to ensure the delivery of high-quality care to patients.

We are looking for an individual with significant experience in treatment planning for radiotherapy, employing advanced techniques. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, teaching and training abilities, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Progressing through a comprehensive in-house competency-based training programme in target volume definition for specific treatment sites.
  • Supervising and training less experienced staff and trainees.
  • Actively involved in research and development projects.

A competitive salary of £55,000 - £60,000 per annum reflects the importance of this role within our organisation.
