Job Summary:

Pertemps Network Group is seeking an experienced HR Assistant to join their team in the Scottish Borders. As an HR Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the growth and development of employees within a well-established organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employee Relations:
    • Take minutes and provide basic employee relations advice
    • Assist with investigations and support managers in the absence of the HR Advisor
  • Administration Support:
    • Provide administrative support with day-to-day HR tasks
    • Assist with contracts and offer letters
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records and databases
  • Miscellaneous:
    • Record employee absences and sickness
    • Support with onboarding and offboarding processes
    • Conduct analysis of HR processes and procedures
    • Assist with internal audits and provide weekly and monthly HR reports
    • Perform other HR-related duties as required

Requirements:

  • Previous HR experience is essential, with a good understanding of employment legislation
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with excellent verbal and written abilities
  • Proficiency in IT systems, including SAP and Microsoft Office
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Desirable: HR qualification or equivalent experience
