About the Role

Your new company is a rapidly expanding International Lloyd's Broker, and we're looking for a skilled Commercial Broker/Account Handler to join our team. As a Commercial Broker/Account Handler, you will support management and colleagues in dealing with clients from inception to completion, providing a first-class service. Your responsibilities will include correspondence with clients, insurers, and third parties, completing transactions in accordance with client, insurer, and company requirements, as well as notifying insurers of changes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support management and colleagues in dealing with clients from inception to completion
  • Provide a first-class service to clients, insurers, and third parties
  • Complete transactions in accordance with client, insurer, and company requirements
  • Notify insurers of changes
  • Process, check, and dispatch policy documentation to clients
  • Process mid-term adjustments, allocate, issue Renewal Review Notices and documentation, process renewals, and deal with issues emanating from the renewal process

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a Commercial Broker/Account Handler handling commercial business in a similar role
  • Cert CII or interest in working towards CII qualifications
  • Previous experience of working in insurance and previous experience working with customers or clients, face to face or over the phone
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to consult and influence at all levels
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships externally and internally
  • High personal drive and resilience
  • Ability to persuade, motivate, negotiate, and influence
