Bookkeeping & Payroll Assistant

The One Group is seeking an experienced Bookkeeping & Payroll Assistant to join their team in Peterborough. This role is available due to a full client book and the ambition to continue developing the practice.

Responsibilities:
  • Supporting with payroll processing and management
  • Bookkeeping responsibilities including reconciliations and maintenance of accurate books on AP and AR
  • Building and maintaining long-lasting and trusting relationships with clients
  • Supporting with the preparation of VAT returns and CIS returns
  • Ad-hoc administration duties
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Bookkeeper/Accounts Assistant in an accountancy practice is essential
  • Sage Payroll & Sage Bookkeeping experience is desired
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)
  • 21 days holiday + bank holidays

  • 1 day per week hybrid working
