About the Role:

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Support Worker to join a welcoming school in Blandford Forum.

Job Summary:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to provide tailored support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them fully engage with their learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer focused one-on-one and small group assistance to students with SEN, helping them to access the curriculum and make progress.
  • Collaborate with teachers to deliver lessons that are both effective and engaging, ensuring that SEN students can actively participate.
  • Help create a classroom atmosphere that is supportive, welcoming, and inclusive for all students, promoting a positive learning experience.
  • Keep track of student progress and provide constructive feedback to teachers, helping to tailor support based on each student's needs.
  • Offer guidance and supervision during break times and extracurricular activities to ensure students feel supported throughout the school day.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
  • Ability to adapt to the needs of individual students.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
  • Passion for working with children with special educational needs.
