About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SEN Teacher to join our team at GSL Education. As a SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing accessible and inclusive education for students with Special Educational Needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver dynamic lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students with SEN, working collaboratively with support staff to ensure a comprehensive support plan.
  • Provide individualised support and guidance to students, promoting their academic and personal development, and maintaining accurate records of student progress and development.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and carers, promoting effective communication and collaboration, and contributing to a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification in SEN education, with a strong understanding of different SEN needs and effective strategies for supporting students.
  • Previous experience of working in a SEN school setting, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Dedication to promoting inclusion and equality in education, and a commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
