About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our Construction, Housing, and Retail divisions. As a key member of our pre-construction team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all bids are competitive and financially sound.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Bid team to develop comprehensive bid proposals.
  • Interpret and review complex architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and other documents to accurately estimate the scope of works.
  • Lead the preparation of detailed and accurate cost estimates for large-scale construction projects.
  • Identify and analyze potential risks and opportunities associated with project estimates.
  • Engage with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
  • Assist in post-tender negotiations to ensure projects are commercially viable.
  • Identify compliant Value Engineering opportunities.
  • Take an active role in our Supply Chain Management Initiative.
Requirements
  • A proven track record in estimating large-scale construction projects.
  • Proven experience in estimating projects with a solid understanding of building methods, materials, and UK construction standards.
  • A proactive, solutions-driven mindset.
  • Strong knowledge of estimation software.
  • Experience working with relevant forms of contract.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
  • A passion for performance and continuous improvement.
