Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our management team on Abington Ward at Northampton General Hospital. As a dynamic and forward-thinking individual, you will have the opportunity to develop your leadership and management skills while providing high standards of patient care.

Main Responsibilities

Meet clinical objectives as agreed with the Ward Manager/Matron, ensuring a high standard of care is maintained.

Provide clinical nursing expertise and supervision of all grades of staff within the ward, promoting a healthy and positive environment for patients and staff.

Participate in regular staff and directorate meetings, acting as a leader and role model to promote innovation and high standards of practice.

Person Specification

Essential

Registered Nurse, educated to degree level or equivalent, with a minimum of 2 years' experience as a Band 6.

Desirable

Leadership course, evidence of leadership and management, and experience in service improvement and auditing.

Skills

Able to perform physically to the role's demands and responsibilities, multitask and prioritize, and lead and facilitate change.
