Senior Staff Nurse – Tavener Ward

At St Andrew's Healthcare, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Senior Staff Nurse to join our dedicated team on Tavener Ward.

Tavener Ward is a 16-bed inpatient care and rehabilitation unit for adult men with complex mental health needs and neuropsychiatric diagnoses.

We are looking for an individual who possesses in-depth experience of working with patients in a mental health service, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to develop strong relationships across clinical teams.

The ideal candidate will have good problem-solving skills, be highly resilient, and able to work under pressure while maintaining effective communication with multidisciplinary teams.

This role offers a unique opportunity to develop your nursing leadership skills, work closely with a strong and established clinical team, and make a significant difference in the lives of our patients.

As a Senior Staff Nurse on Tavener Ward, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing effective outcome-focused care plans
  • Communicating effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Building and monitoring ongoing relationships with patients and their families
  • Ensuring accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Receiving and providing clinical supervision

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An active NMC registration
  • In-depth experience of working with patients in a mental health service
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build strong relationships
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
