Job Title: Supplier Performance Manager

Thales is a global leader in aerospace, transportation, defence, security, and space. We are seeking a highly skilled Supplier Performance Manager to join our team in Belfast, UK.

Job Summary:

The Supplier Performance Manager will play a critical role in improving the performance of our supply chain. This includes working with key suppliers to enhance their quality systems, production processes, and capabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing supplier quality and delivery performance, identifying opportunities for innovation sharing, and supporting Thales Group activities during supplier crisis management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with suppliers to improve quality systems, production processes, and capabilities.
  • Manage supplier quality and delivery performance through continuous improvement techniques, performance reviews, and action plans.
  • Act as a conduit to improve the operational interface between Thales and suppliers, using lessons learned for continuous improvement.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation sharing, co-design, and development.
  • Support Thales Group activities during supplier crisis management.
Requirements:
  • Well-developed communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to work closely with others and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Good project management, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Good risk and opportunity management, including robust mitigation plans.
  • Relationship management skills, including addressing issues at executive level and shop floor.
  • Strong business acumen, supply chain, operations management, logistics, and manufacturing knowledge.
  • Facilitation skills, including working with suppliers and Thales entities.
  • Broad process knowledge, including machining, assembly, and test.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • MCIPS/EIPM qualification.
  • Engineering degree or equivalent.
  • Specialized knowledge of engineering disciplines, such as hardware, software, or quality.
