Education Lead

The role of the Special Education Needs (SEN) Coordinator is to lead and manage the provision of SEN across the academy, ensuring that students with SEN receive an outstanding educational experience. This involves managing the day-to-day operational and strategic aspects of policy and the department to level the playing field for students with SEN.
The ideal candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status, a First Degree, and experience of Special Education Needs within secondary education. They will be able to identify, monitor, and provide effective support for students with SEN, as well as have a good working knowledge of relevant legislation, particularly the SEN Code of Practice.
The successful candidate will also possess excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to make points clearly, listen, understand, and respond in a variety of situations. They will be able to train staff in aspects of SEN and work with a range of students at all levels.
Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum. Benefits include a comprehensive benefits scheme, cycle to work scheme, employee assistance programme, flexible working opportunities, free on-site parking, and generous annual leave.
