Senior Java Developer - Systematic Quant Fund

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to join our team at Durlston Partners, a leading Systematic Quant Fund based in London. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining large-scale distributed systems for algo trading.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Quants and Computer Scientists to develop and implement models for optimising CPU/GPU utilisation within the JVM.
  • Build real-time Market Data systems and customised tools for signal research.
  • Work exclusively with the latest versions of Java, utilising advanced JVM features, garbage collection tuning, and tools such as Gradle and Maven.

Requirements:

  • Excellent knowledge of Java, including the latest versions and features.
  • Proven experience with distributed systems, data structures, and algorithmic design.
  • Low-level and high-level optimisation within the JVM.
