The Financial Crimes Office for EMEA (FCO EMEA) located in London is a segment of our Global Financial Crimes Division headquartered in New York. FCO EMEA is responsible for ensuring our operations comply with regulatory standards to protect our reputation, business integrity, and client interests while mitigating financial crime risks.

Key Objectives of the Position:

This Assistant Vice President role is integral to the Global Financial Crimes Division (GFCD) at MUFG Bank, Ltd. You will play a crucial role in executing and supervising the Global Financial Crime Policy Governance Framework within the EMEA Region to reduce financial crime exposure.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Collaborating with the GFCD Policy Group to harmonize Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) policies across the EMEA region
  • Creating and maintaining FCC documentation at both regional and branch levels
  • Overseeing policy evaluations and revisions
  • Ensuring compliance with the policy governance framework
  • Preparing and delivering updates related to policies
  • Managing exception assessments and approvals
  • Supervising intranet content associated with financial crime policies
  • Communicating policy mandates throughout the EMEA region
  • Providing reports to the GFCD Policy Group
  • Assisting with ad-hoc reporting as required
  • Ensuring the integrity of legal entities is upheld

Required Experience:

A robust background in banking or financial services, with a focus on policy governance and compliance risk management.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in policy formulation and administration
  • Exceptional organizational and project management capabilities
  • Meticulous attention to detail and understanding of legal standards
  • Expertise in technical writing and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Law degree is preferred
