Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Stafforce Careers. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of suppliers to ensure the procurement of goods and services critical to our client's operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for maintaining assigned supplier relations by selecting suppliers and negotiating prices for material and/or services required.
- Analyse, negotiate and report supplier price changes.
- Conduct periodic commodity surveys to obtain price comparisons; evaluate market trends to develop new services and create cost savings.
- Select new and alternative sources of supply and in collaboration with technical staff select new and alternative materials and services, providing technical and or commercial advantage to the company.
- Ensure all purchasing requisitions and programmes are correct and reflect the current supplier's lead-times, keeping management and user departments informed where changes threaten work programmes.
- Identify potential problem areas and recommend changes.
- Minimise the company's exposure with regard to MOQ's and price increases, obtaining the relevant authority levels.
