Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Designer to join our R&D department at Blatchford. As part of our Innovation and Advanced Development division, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex hydraulic systems, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver innovative medical devices.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and implement hydraulic actuator systems, including valve and motor control solutions, according to technical requirements.
  2. Develop complex CAD geometry and perform or oversee digital simulations to ensure accurate design intentions.
  3. Liaise with Systems engineering and clinical partners to capture user requirements and execute work packages within product verification and validation procedures.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience operating within a CAD environment.
  • Experience operating within a safety-critical or highly regulated industry.
Salary and Benefits
  • Competitive salary: £65,000 - £85,000 per annum.
