Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide insightful analysis to support business sales and margin performance, challenging performance when required.
  • Responsible for budgeting and forecasting, with clear analysis of performance versus budget.
  • Support contracts team with supplier negotiations, ensuring deep understanding of supplier profitability and cost impacts.
  • Lead pricing process to measure market competitiveness and drive corrective action.
  • Provide heads of departments with market data to support commercial decision making.
  • Review forecast in line with marketing cycle, identifying performance and risks/opportunities.
  • Ensure accurate invoicing of supplier funding and commercial income in line with deadlines.
  • Collaborate with the wider finance team on areas such as forecasting working capital.
  • Support Senior Finance Manager and the business in ensuring financial systems and controls are robust to mitigate financial losses.
  • Analyse and interpret data from multiple sources across the business, including product, customer, depot, and store.
  • Deliver insightful ad hoc analysis to support operational and strategic decision making.
Requirements:
  • CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified.
  • Proven experience in a fast-paced Commercial Finance role.
  • Strong communication skills, with ability to influence and challenge performance when required.
  • High degree of commercial acumen.
  • Super advanced Excel and spreadsheet skills.
  • Team player, engaging people across a broad spectrum.
