About the Role

Eames Consulting is assisting a leading private equity real estate fund in seeking an experienced Assistant Fund Controller to join its finance team in Central London. The newly created position will report directly to the firm's Finance Director and offer a unique opportunity for professional growth.

The ideal candidate will have primary oversight of the fund administrator relationship, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of externally produced accounts. Additionally, they will be responsible for preparing investor reports, conducting financial analysis for asset management and deals teams, managing cash flows across numerous Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs), reviewing debt compliance reports, and serving as the key point of contact with internal and external stakeholders for these entities.

This role presents a chance for the incumbent to make a significant impact on the fund's operations while working closely with experienced professionals in the field. As a critical member of the finance team, the Assistant Fund Controller will contribute to the success of the fund through effective collaboration, analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversight and management of the fund administrator relationship, including review of externally produced accounts
  • Assistance in the preparation of investor reporting, providing timely and accurate information to stakeholders
  • Supporting the asset management and deals teams with bespoke financial and investment analysis, enhancing decision-making processes
  • Cash flow management for numerous SPVs, ensuring seamless operations and minimizing financial risks
  • Reviewal of debt compliance reporting, maintaining adherence to regulatory requirements
  • Key point of contact with internal and external stakeholders for numerous SPVs, fostering strong relationships and open communication
  • Ad-hoc project work, contributing to the development and implementation of strategic initiatives
Requirements
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA/CA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent, ideally at the newly qualified level
  • Funds experience is essential - either from audit, third-party administration, or a competitor fund. Real estate experience is highly preferred but other asset classes such as private equity will be considered
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, facilitating effective communication and collaboration
Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this role is circa £60,000-£70,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a discretionary bonus scheme and comprehensive benefits package.
