About the Role:

We invite applications for the position of Personal Assistant, where you will provide high-quality personal care services to individuals in their own homes. As a valued member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting with daily living tasks, promoting independence, and enhancing the overall quality of life for our service users.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Personal Care: Provide assistance with bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming, ensuring the dignity and comfort of service users at all times.
  2. Mobility Support: Help service users with transferring from bed to chair, walking, and other mobility-related tasks.
  3. Meal Preparation and Feeding: Assist with preparing meals and feeding service users, taking into account any dietary requirements or restrictions.
  4. Medication Administration: Administer medications as prescribed and monitor medication schedules to ensure timely and accurate dispensing.
  5. Light Household Duties: Assist with light household tasks, such as cleaning, laundry, and grocery shopping, to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  6. Companionship and Emotional Support: Offer emotional support and companionship to service users, helping to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation.
  7. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of care provided, including any changes in the patient's condition or behavior.
  8. Care Planning: Follow tailored care plans that meet the specific needs and preferences of each service user.
  9. Independence Promotion: Encourage service users to carry out tasks on their own when possible, promoting independence and autonomy.
  10. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all care practices comply with relevant regulations, guidelines, and company policies.
Requirements:
  1. Experience: Previous experience in domiciliary or home care is preferred but not required.
  2. Personality Traits: Compassionate, caring, and empathetic nature with a passion for helping others.
  3. Communication Skills: Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a variety of people.
  4. Work Style: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  5. Flexibility: Flexibility in working hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required.
  6. Transportation: Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle is preferred but not essential.
  7. DBS Check: A DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check will be required.
  8. Qualifications: A relevant care qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care) is desirable but not essential.
