Job Purpose:

The Halfords Group offers credit facilities to various customers. Our Credit Control team works to maximise cash collection to agreed terms, in conjunction with measured credit checks, reviews, and reporting.

This role is part of a dynamic team of 12 people, and the department is constantly evolving. As such, the purpose of the role may change over time, focusing on reporting and analysis rather than document processing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Allocate customer cash
  • Open new customer accounts
  • Raise invoices and credit notes
  • Handle customer queries via email and telephone
  • Reconcile the debtor suspense account
  • Process Interco Journals

Key Skills:

  • Accuracy and speed when processing documentation (primarily invoices and cash allocation)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Team skills, with a willingness to support other team members
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word, with experience in SAP and/or Accounts Receivable advantageous
  • Ability to work to deadlines
