We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Lead to join our Pre-Surgical Preparation team at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our nursing team, you will be responsible for providing clinical, professional, and managerial leadership to our team of qualified and non-qualified staff.
Main Responsibilities- Leadership and Management
- Provide strong leadership and support to ensure the highest standards of clinical care.
- Manage the day-to-day activities of staff within your specialty, including coordination, training, recruitment, and selection.
- Conduct appraisals and performance development plans (PDPs) to ensure staff competence and development.
- Clinical Practice
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care in a safe and efficient manner.
- Monitor and maximize the use of resources, including managing stock levels and equipment.
- Ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times in line with the Data Protection Act and professional codes of conduct.
- Quality Assurance and Research
- Take a lead role in the evaluation of services and implement quality assurance programs as directed by the line manager.
- Actively promote research awareness and participate in research-based projects and working groups as required.
