They specialise in designing, installing, and commissioning BEMS systems that enhance efficiency, energy savings, and sustainability.

The Role

We are seeking a skilled BEMS Estimator to join our dynamic team. As a BEMS Estimator, you will have a strong background in Building & Energy Management systems, commissioning and engineering. Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for control and automation projects across various sectors.
  2. Analysing project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to understand the scope of work and identify key requirements.
  3. Attending occasional site surveys ahead of costing.
  4. Collaborating with engineering, commissioning, and project management teams to gather necessary information and insights for precise estimations.
  5. Maintaining and updating the company database of historical costs and pricing to support future estimates and improve accuracy.
  6. Participating in bid review meetings, providing insights and recommendations to optimize project profitability and feasibility.
  7. Assisting in the development of proposals and tender documents, ensuring all financial aspects are clearly articulated.
  8. Supporting project managers during the handover process by providing detailed documentation and clarification of estimated costs.
  9. Proficiency with Trend systems and a deep understanding of their application in control and automation projects.
  10. Strong background in commissioning and engineering processes related to automation systems.
  11. Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project).
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with:

  1. Professional certifications related to estimating, project management, or automation systems.
  2. Experience with building management systems (BMS) and energy management systems (EMS).
  3. Familiarity with AutoCAD or other design software.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of circa £55,000, open to negotiation dependent on experience. Additionally, we provide a company car, paid holidays and sick pay, remote work and flexibility, and a company culture that values work-life balance. Regular training relevant to the job, such as manufacturer's products and services, is also provided.

Working Pattern

The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 5pm, with 90% remote work. Bi-monthly meetings with the line manager will take place during the first 6 months. Performance will be measured on the quality of work, updating records regularly, accuracy, and technical interpretation of mechanical equipment schedules, mechanical schematics, and M&E specifications.
