Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Rotational Occupational Therapist to join our team at Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Rotational Occupational Therapist, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including acute and emergency medicine, orthopaedics and surgery, neurology, hand therapy, and complex medicine.

Main Responsibilities

As a Rotational Occupational Therapist, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Performing therapeutic assessments of patients with diverse and varied physical and psychological conditions
  • Formulating and delivering individualized treatment plans
  • Working autonomously and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Supervising work experience students on observational placement
  • Contributing to evidence-based audit and research projects

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Dip COT or BSc (Hons) in OT
  • HCPC registration or student
  • Evidence of Continual Professional Development maintained in a portfolio
  • Experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Experience of working within an acute hospital setting

We are open to applications from individuals who are awaiting HCPC registration. Please note that vacancies may close prior to the advertised closing date when sufficient numbers of applications have been received. All new staff will be subject to a probationary period covering the first 6 months in post. Travel between hospital sites may be required.
