Retail Sous Chef/Lead Chef Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to lead our retail catering team at Hever Castle, serving fresh food to our day visitors.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the preparation and cooking of food, ensuring that our company's reputation for quality is always enhanced with customers and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement menus, ensuring high-quality food production and presentation.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and implement new menu ideas and concepts.
  • Lead and motivate a team of chefs to achieve exceptional food quality and presentation.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, health and safety, and COSHH regulations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Lead Chef in a similar environment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • Good understanding of finance and budgeting within a food environment.
