Job Overview

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development seeks a detail-oriented and analytical Investment Associate to join its Manufacturing and Services team. In this role, you will contribute to the origination, structuring, execution, and monitoring of debt and equity investments.

Key Responsibilities

Under the guidance of the operation leader or a senior banker, you will:

  • Conduct comprehensive due diligence on projects, including financial and market analysis, integrity, and EBRD policy compliance;
  • Monitor the financial performance of clients and assess evolving risk factors;
  • Prepare timely and comprehensive monitoring reports, including recommendations for corrective actions;
  • Assist with origination of new projects, including industry research, client outreach, and meeting organization;

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Bachelor's degree, with a Master's degree preferred or equivalent experience in finance or a related field;
  • Professional qualifications, such as ACA, CFA, ACCA, or CIMA, desirable;
  • Strong quantitative and numerical skills, with experience in financial modeling and analysis;
  • Excellent credit analysis skills, with the ability to interpret financial information and understand local and international accounting principles;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and spreadsheet packages, including financial analysis and modeling modules;
  • Good understanding of relevant systems and processes;
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member, meet deadlines, and work under time pressure;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and German;
