About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering Manager to join our team at Iggesund Paperboard. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for leading and developing our mechanical engineering capabilities to drive business success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the mechanical engineering team to achieve business objectives
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies to ensure optimal equipment performance and uptime
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and cost reductions
  • Manage and coordinate internal and external resources to achieve project goals
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
  • Develop and manage budgets to achieve financial targets
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive business improvement
Requirements
  • Education to HND (or equivalent) in Engineering, and/or vast experience in a management position (Engineering degree preferred)
  • Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship
  • Excellent knowledge and competence in maintenance engineering
  • Understanding of failure analysis and maintenance strategy
  • Good knowledge of plant processes and equipment
  • Computer literacy skills with working knowledge of 'Windows Office' suite
