Position Overview
East Riding of Yorkshire Council is seeking dedicated individuals to join our vibrant community as Learning Support Assistants. Our organization is committed to providing exceptional educational experiences for children aged 2 to 19 years, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN). We have recently enhanced our facilities to better serve our students, including specialized provisions for Early Years and a Sixth Form department.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in fostering an inclusive learning environment. You will collaborate with teachers to provide support in various educational settings, assisting both in whole-class scenarios and through targeted one-on-one or small group interventions. Your efforts will help students engage fully in their learning journey, developing essential skills in literacy, numeracy, and social interaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support teachers in delivering high-quality education to students with diverse needs.
- Facilitate learning through individualized support and encouragement.

Candidate Requirements:
We are looking for friendly and compassionate individuals who can build positive relationships with both students and staff. A strong educational background, particularly in English and Mathematics, is essential. Experience working with children with SEND is preferred, and a willingness to undertake further training is necessary to enhance your skills in this area.
