Job Title: Care Professional for People with Learning Disabilities

About the Role:

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate care professionals to work in the Great Yarmouth area, supporting younger and older residents with learning disabilities.

Your Responsibilities:

  • To follow individual care plans at settings
  • Treat service users with respect at all times
  • Support individuals with personal hygiene and appearance
  • Maintain a safe environment for staff and service users
  • Encourage independence and motivation of service users
  • Support service users to make informed choices
  • Feedback necessary information to the person in charge
  • Complete necessary paperwork
  • Take service users into the community and on day trips when needed
  • Provide companionship to service users and communicate effectively with them
  • Protect the confidentiality of all service users and clients
  • Recognise signs of abuse and report through necessary channels

Requirements for the Role:

  • UK experience as a care or support worker is essential
  • Must be reliable
  • Must be resilient and compassionate
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Transport desirable but not essential
  • Online DBS desirable but not essential
