About the Role

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Paediatric Physiotherapist to join our Under 2 and Neonatal Therapy Service. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a specialist area, impacting the quality of care and early therapeutic intervention for premature and high-risk infants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist therapy input within the neonatal unit, working closely with families and colleagues to optimise outcomes for infants born sick or premature.
  • Develop and implement individualised therapy plans, taking into account the holistic needs of premature and high-risk infants.
  • Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure seamless care and effective communication.
  • Contribute to the development of the therapy service, participating in audit, service evaluation, and research initiatives.

  • Qualifications, knowledge and experience:
    • Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent
    • Current HCPC registration
    • Experience with a variety of physical and mental health conditions/multiple pathology
    • Experience of working with support staff
    • Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team
    • Evidence of continuing professional development
