Telemetry Engineer Opportunity at Yorkshire Water

We are seeking a skilled Telemetry Engineer to join our operational technology team at Yorkshire Water. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the design, development, and deployment of business-critical BSG services, including Remote Telemetry Units and Communication Systems, SCADA systems, Instrumentation, and Programmable Logic Control systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the development and maintenance of engineering specifications.
  • Provide a support function to technical leads in validation of solutions and services designed to meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technical tasks and provide realistic estimates.
  • Adhere to engineering and IT processes throughout the project delivery lifecycle.
Requirements:
  • Experience in building and supporting Telemetry solutions and services against challenging business targets.
  • Knowledge of Remote Telemetry Units and communications, SCADA systems, Programmable Logic Control systems, and Instrumentation.
  • Ability to absorb technical information and communicate effectively to all levels, both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
