Job Title: Telemetry Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Telemetry Engineer to join our operational technology team at Yorkshire Water. As a Telemetry Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the design, development, testing, and deployment of business-critical BSG services, including Remote Telemetry Units and Communication Systems, SCADA systems, Instrumentation, and Programmable Logic Control systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the design, development, testing, and deployment of business-critical BSG services.
  • Maintain engineering specifications.
  • Provide a support function to technical leads in validation of solutions and services designed to meet business requirements.
  • Demonstrate awareness of strategic plans.
  • Perform an engineering role on technology projects.
Requirements:
  • Experience in building and supporting Telemetry solutions and services against challenging business targets.
  • Knowledge of Remote Telemetry Units and communications, SCADA systems, Programmable Logic Control systems, and Instrumentation.
  • Ability to absorb technical information and communicate effectively to all levels.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of best practice processes.
  • Understanding of quality assurance practices.
  • Experience of developing and maintaining effective internal and external relationships.
