Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide specialist speech and language therapy assessment and treatment for service users in receipt of care from community services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist speech and language therapy assessment and treatment for service users in receipt of care from community services.
  • Enable service users to engage in a range of individual and group community-based treatment activities.
  • Work closely with the IST MDT clinicians to provide an intensive, wrap-around service to help improve the outcomes for the service users.
  • Use your speech and language therapy skills to support the assessment and delivery of high-quality therapeutic interventions to address the holistic needs of service users with a focus on communication and dysphagia.
Requirements
  • Post registration experience including in learning disabilities.
  • Documented evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Supervision of staff and or students.
  • Ability to implement all of the 6C values & behaviours expected of health care professionals.
  • Effective communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Willingness to work flexibly.
