We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Trust. The successful candidate will work as an integral member of our multi-disciplinary team, providing specialist speech and language therapy assessment and treatment for service users in receipt of care from community services.
Main Responsibilities- Provide specialist speech and language therapy assessment and treatment for service users in receipt of care from community services.
- Enable service users to engage in a range of individual and group community-based treatment activities.
- Work closely with the IST MDT clinicians to provide an intensive, wrap-around service to help improve the outcomes for the service users.
- Use speech and language therapy skills to support the assessment and delivery of high-quality therapeutic interventions to address the holistic needs of service users with a focus on communication and dysphagia.
- Post registration experience including in learning disabilities.
- Documented evidence of continuing professional development.
- Supervision of staff and/or students.
- Ability to implement all of the 6C values & behaviours expected of healthcare professionals.
- Effective communication skills, verbal and written.
- Willingness to work flexibly.
