About the Role

The CHP Field Service Engineer will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical support to customers across the UK, focusing on the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of Combined Heat and Power systems. As a key member of the Service and Aftermarket team, the successful candidate will develop strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist customers in understanding their requirements and provide expert technical support during site visits.
  2. Collaborate with the Service and Aftermarket team to ensure excellent customer service and support.
  3. Provide technical expertise to colleagues and contribute to a comprehensive technical support network.
  4. Document site activities and recommendations in detailed reports.
  5. Supervise technicians and ensure adherence to health and safety procedures.
  6. Protect Company commercial and warranty liabilities.
  7. Develop and implement installation, maintenance, and overhaul schedules.
  8. Support customer and internal training activities to educate customers and staff on equipment operation and maintenance.
Requirements
  • Positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills.
  • Mechanical background with experience working on gas engines or diesel generators.
  • Proven experience with Jenbacher, Cummins, MTU, MWM, MAN, or CAT engines, including commissioning certification.
  • Hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to produce detailed site reports and recommendations.
  • Supervisory skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Good understanding of business and commercial issues related to the role.
  • Health and safety awareness in the workplace.
