Job Title: Airport Engagement Specialist

Join Gatwick Airport Limited as an Airport Engagement Specialist and play a key role in building and strengthening relationships with external parties and key stakeholders to help develop Gatwick's reputation.

This role is responsible for supporting public consultations, creating a positive and supportive environment with stakeholders to enable the delivery of London Gatwick growth plans.

As an Airport Engagement Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and executing engagement and communications strategies and plans across Gatwick's external stakeholders.
  • Planning and delivering public consultations, working with 3rd parties and stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of the consultations.
  • Leading and managing Gatwick input to key statutory forums. Managing project-specific community consultation and research projects as required.
  • Communicating with stakeholders to generate public interest and understanding of Gatwick's growth plans.
  • Driving accurate measurement of impact and benchmarking across all activity.

Requirements:

  • Experience in engaging and communicating with diverse range of external stakeholders at all levels, including influencing skills and resilience in the face of challenge.
  • Experience successfully planning and delivering public consultations, working with 3rd parties and stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of the consultations.
  • A good command of English, and ability to write professional letters, emails, engaging copy and formal reports.
  • Experience and confidence in representing the business externally at meetings and events.
  • Experience and confidence in delivering presentations, tailoring these to the relevant audiences.
  • Experience in successful partnership working.
  • Proven planning and project management experience with organisation and coordination skills and good attention to detail.
