Job Title: Electrical Fitters X6

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Fitter to join our team at Defence. As an Electrical Fitter, you will be responsible for supporting the Manufacturing, Modification, Maintenance, Installation and Test of aircraft systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble and install electrical and electronic parts, materials, and hardware
  • Use calibrated tooling, wiring harnesses, components, and sub-assemblies for the manufacture and modification of electrical, electronic, and electromagnetic equipment
  • Repair, adjust, and maintain aircraft systems to ensure system reliability and adherence to specifications
  • Navigate aircraft maintenance manuals, IPCs, EMMs, and wiring diagrams to implement inspections and maintenance processes
  • Install prefabricated parts and assemblies to assist in the final installation of electrical and avionic modification components
  • Perform electrical/electro-mechanical system operational checks, troubleshoot, and correct malfunctions
Requirements:
  • Completed an indentured aviation apprenticeship along with City & Guilds Electrical Certificate/NVQ Level 3 and/or completion of approved base training
  • Ability to work in an Electrical Sub-Assembly department, manufacturing Cable/Harness Assemblies, including laser printing, identification, soldering, crimping, cable terminations, end make-offs, and bench testing
  • Working to Technical Process Specifications
What We Offer:

We offer a competitive hourly rate of £38, umbrella company, and inside IR35. You will work in a dynamic team environment with a focus on delivering high-quality results under time and resource pressures.

This is a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension. SC clearance is required for this role.
