The Defence team is seeking an experienced Electrical Fitter to work on the assembly and modification of aircraft electrical systems. This is a highly specialized role that requires a deep understanding of electrical and electronic systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and install electrical and electronic components and systems
- Perform maintenance and repairs on aircraft electrical systems
- Test and troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems
- Work with technical drawings and manuals to implement inspections and maintenance processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve deadlines and meet objectives
Essential Requirements
- Completed an indentured aviation apprenticeship along with City & Guilds Electrical Certificate/NVQ Level 3
- Experience working in an Electrical Sub-Assembly department, manufacturing Cable/Harness Assemblies
- Competence in laser printing, identification, soldering, crimping, cable terminations, end make-offs, and bench testing
- Ability to work unsupervised from technical drawings, aircraft manufacturer's manuals, Design Data, written or verbal instructions
