Aircraft Electrical Systems Technician Role

The Defence team is seeking an experienced Electrical Fitter to work on the assembly and modification of aircraft electrical systems. This is a highly specialized role that requires a deep understanding of electrical and electronic systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble and install electrical and electronic components and systems
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on aircraft electrical systems
  • Test and troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems
  • Work with technical drawings and manuals to implement inspections and maintenance processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve deadlines and meet objectives

Essential Requirements
  • Completed an indentured aviation apprenticeship along with City & Guilds Electrical Certificate/NVQ Level 3
  • Experience working in an Electrical Sub-Assembly department, manufacturing Cable/Harness Assemblies
  • Competence in laser printing, identification, soldering, crimping, cable terminations, end make-offs, and bench testing
  • Ability to work unsupervised from technical drawings, aircraft manufacturer's manuals, Design Data, written or verbal instructions
