Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Community Support Specialist to join our team in Evesham, Worcestershire. As a Community Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting learning disabled adults to live their best lives.

Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a passion for providing high-quality support.

About the Role:

  • Salary: £11.44 per hour, rising to £11.74 per hour on 1st October 2024.
  • Working Hours: A variety of day shifts, starting from 7:30/8am. 7.5 hour shifts minimum. Full time and part time roles available.
  • Holidays: 33 days of annual leave (including eight days statutory bank holidays).
  • Benefits: 10% overtime allowance, 20% Bank Holiday allowance, 50% for key dates over Christmas.

About You:

You will be responsible for providing daily care and support to learning disabled adults, enabling them to achieve their goals and maintain important relationships with their family and friends.

Your duties may include:

  • Providing everyday personal care, such as taking medication, cooking a meal.
  • Building someone's confidence in using public transport or teaching money management skills.
  • Supporting someone to plan their weekly shop or go on an outdoor adventure.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with vulnerable adults.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
