Job Title: Financial Services Trainee

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized trainee to join our team at Haslers. As a financial services trainee, you will work closely with clients to produce their accounts and carry out onsite audits under the supervision of senior staff while studying for the ACA exams.

The role offers a comprehensive training program, including internal and external training opportunities, where you'll gain hands-on experience through various important responsibilities such as:

  • Carrying out audit and accounts assignments either in the office or at client premises using Haslers' IT systems and ensuring appropriate regulatory processes are adhered to.
  • Completing basic accounts preparation work, including working with sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
  • Financial analysis and reconciliation as required.
  • Preparing draft accounts assignments and VAT returns for clients.
  • Any other financial and administrative tasks as required.

Key skills required include a genuine enthusiasm for building strong relationships and working collaboratively with clients and colleagues, with support from your manager, as well as a determination and committed attitude towards balancing studies and exams alongside your full-time role and duties.

Salary and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary of £28,000 - £35,000 per annum, along with a range of benefits including a wellbeing allowance of £400, 25 days annual leave not including bank holidays, paid Birthday Day off, paid Volunteering Day, and a pension scheme with employer contributions increasing with length of service.

Requirements

To be eligible for this position, you must have:

  • A minimum of 112 UCAS points preferably in academic subjects.
  • A minimum Grade 6 or above in GCSE Maths & English Language.
  • Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written English.
  • A full clean driving licence.
