Offshore Maintenance Engineer

Job Purpose

We are seeking a skilled Offshore Technician to join our team at James Fisher and Sons plc. As an Offshore Technician, you will be responsible for assembling, testing, operating, servicing, and maintaining JFO and third-party equipment offshore.

Key Responsibilities

• When working on company equipment, you will report to and take direction from offshore supervisors.
• You will actively participate in pre and post-job briefings and ensure that appropriate knowledge transfer takes place.
• You will become familiar with JFO and third-party equipment, follow appropriate procedures during assembly, testing, operations, servicing, and maintenance of this equipment.
• You will ensure all work is carried out in accordance with JFO's policies and guidelines.
• You will be responsible for your own safety and the safety of others within the workplace by working in a safe, tidy, and efficient manner.
• You will carry out various other general duties as directed and represent the company in a professional manner.
• You will always maintain a clean and safe working area.
• You will ensure compliance with defined HSE policies and procedures and identify any areas for improvement.
• You will ensure appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is used in accordance with Company health and safety policies.
• Other relevant tasks might be included but not mentioned above.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

We require a time-served individual with experience in a mechanical, hydraulic role.

Preferred

A qualification in mechanical engineering or similar is desirable, along with experience in an offshore environment.

Required Experience

We require a strong focus on client satisfaction and good verbal and written communication skills.

Desirable Experience

Candidates with experience in diesel, hydraulic, UHP, or HP water pumping, or knowledge of hydraulic circuits, plant machinery, and subsea services industry equipment are highly desirable.
