Job Title: EDI Strategy Lead

The Pirbright Institute is seeking a dedicated professional with expertise in Equalities, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) to enhance their team. As the EDI Strategy Lead, you will be instrumental in developing and executing the Institute's EDI framework and initiatives. This pivotal role requires you to lead the incorporation of EDI principles into the Institute's operational practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and execute the EDI framework and associated action plans, including diversity charters.
  • Facilitate the integration of EDI into the Institute's operational methodologies.
  • Evaluate and assess the effectiveness of all EDI practices and policies.
  • Gather, analyze, and track pertinent EDI data.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management.
  • Offer guidance, support, and expertise on EDI issues to colleagues and departments.
  • Promote a positive organizational culture.
  • Ensure adherence to GDPR and other confidentiality requirements.
  • Review and refine processes and policies to align with organizational needs.

Candidate Profile:

  • A relevant degree or equivalent training/experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of Equalities legislation and application of EDI principles.
  • Demonstrated experience as an EDI advisor/manager effecting change and impact.
  • Proven ability to meet Key Performance Indicators/Metrics.
  • Familiarity with diversity charters, including Athena Swan.
