We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to support our busy programme of events, forums, festivals, awards, research, publications, and exhibitions that represent NLA and London's built environment community.

About the Role

The Urban Design Event Coordinator will play a key role in planning and delivering allocated events, including copywriting and speaker invitations, briefing and management, and handling pre- and post-event correspondence. This will involve assisting in coordinating related NLA programs, including the London Festival of Architecture, London Real Estate Forum, Future City Makers, NLA Collaborate, and various award schemes.

You will also support the Marketing and Communications team to ensure content for the website, mailers, and social media is up-to-date and delivered on time. Additionally, you will assist the Events team in delivering the events program, including preparation, front-of-house support, and post-event analysis.

This is a full-time position, with a salary range of £28,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including 25 days' annual leave excluding bank holidays, uncapped holiday with managers' agreement, Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) for employees and family, health and wellbeing initiatives, enhanced parental leave, government childcare voucher scheme, cycle to work scheme, and Peoples Pension with employer contributions.

Requirements
  • Strong knowledge and interest in architecture, planning, and design in London, including related policies and regulations.
  • Basic computer skills, including Office 365, Adobe Creative Suite, and Zoom.
  • Good interpersonal skills, a professional telephone manner, and an excellent standard of English.
  • Precision, great attention to detail, and exceptional communication and time management skills.

Please note that some of NLA's events take place at early mornings or evenings, with some events taking place on weekends, so flexibility around event days is essential.
