We're supporting our client, a leading global equipment manufacturer, in their search for a skilled Maintenance Engineer (Extrusion) to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in maintenance within plastics manufacturing.
Position Overview: As a Maintenance Engineer (Extrusion), you will be responsible for overseeing maintenance and ensuring operational excellence. You will report directly to senior management and take charge of critical maintenance activities, lead process improvement initiatives, and solve complex engineering challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and conduct site maintenance activities to ensure minimal downtime and consistent performance.
- Develop and implement comprehensive site maintenance procedures.
- Ensure all site equipment is fully compliant with safety legislations, testing, and inspections.
- Analyse and resolve issues through root cause analysis and fault-finding techniques.
- Perform equipment repair as required and testing while maintaining detailed records.
- Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Support project plans including site preparation work, equipment installation and commissioning, technical training, and supporting on repairs as needed.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field and experience in extrusion processes and injection moulding. They will be customer-focused, with a drive to deliver high-quality results.
