Delkia Seeks Lead Research and Development Engineer

We are looking for an exceptional Lead Research and Development Engineer to drive innovation within our Research, Technology, and Innovation department. As part of our team, you will contribute to technology research and demonstration tasks that support our product development projects.

Our current focus areas include vehicle control systems development and autonomous/uncrewed systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development of our autonomy capability and overseeing mission systems aspects of our uncrewed systems.

About the Role
  • Conduct research and demonstrations to support Delkia's research and product development projects.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed research documentation to facilitate company product/service development.
  • Support internal engineering reviews and assurance activities.
  • Promote Research and Technology development activities.
  • Regularly report progress to line management, Technical Manager, and the broader organization.
  • Develop innovative solutions to technological challenges and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Salary Range: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.

  • Analyze and interpret data from various sources to inform technical decision-making.
  • Leverage expertise to develop and implement effective technology solutions.
  • Communicate complex ideas and concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
